Can the Lions win in Florida? Not likely since they haven’t tasted victory in the Sunshine in over a decade. Now the 3-10 Lions go to Tampa to take on a surprising 8-5  that will most likely be playing in January.

This game looks like a mismatch and it is, but the Lions have a slight chance of pulling the upset if they can  capitalize on Buccaneer mistakes and make plays on both offense and defense. Unfortunately the Bucs 8 wins have  come against teams with losing records and in the Lions once again are mired in a losing season.

I want to pick the Lions to win, and only do so because I happen to be in Florida this weekend with my family.

Welcome back Matthew Stafford! Now go out there and do what an entire franchise and fan base have asked from you to do since day one, Win.  We don’t expect you to be Joe Montana on Sunday, but we expect a #1 Quarterback to lead his team to a victory over a team that on paper the Lions should beat. We don’t expect a blowout win against Washington like we had against the Rams(although it would be much easier on the nerves) but a win that builds confidence in not just the team, but the long suffering fans.

I don’t know if the Playoffs are in the cards for this Detroit team this year, but I do see this team winning more than 2 games and being competitive against everyone that remains on their schedule. If this team fails to win any less than 4 games this year, it will be yet another long and painful off-season for the Lions and their fans.
