Week 11: Carolina Panthers
Saturday, November 19th, 2011The Lions were humbled last week in Chicago as they turned over the ball 6 times and the special teams once again let Devin Hester be Devin Hester as he returned a punt for a touchdown. It was an ugly loss but a loss that the Lions needed because hopefully it proved to them that to beat a playoff team you can’t make mistakes.
This week the Carolina Panthers come to town led by phenomenal rookie QB Cam Newton and hopefully the Lion’s can get a much needed win over a team that they should beat.
The Lion’s have a better offense and defense than the Panther’s and hopefully will have there way with them and if all goes well the Lions can rest their starters in the fourth quarter as the Lion’s are coasting to their 7th win of the season.
Unfortunately this is the Lion’s and I just don’t see them blowing out the Panther’s. The Panther’s have only won 2 games this year but of their 7 losses 6 of them were within a touchdown. This team is scrappy and with Cam Newton slinging the ball around this team could give the Lion’s fits.
The Lion’s win this game, but the Panthers will stick around long enough to make it interesting.
